The Salvation Army Bangladesh, working through the integrated health, education and development project.
The integrated health, education and development programme is reaching out into the rural community in 18 villages providing health education, basic health care, child education and works with the communities in development programmes, including adult literacy, savings, and skills training; developing community support groups to become community based organisations (CBO’s), which include local Salvation Army church and other faith groups representation on the committees.
Prayer points:
- Pray for work among sex workers and for those who have changed their lives as a result of intervention.
- Pray for our advocacy in rescuing trafficked women and young girls and efforts at reuniting them with families.
- Pray for those working for the release and repatriation of rescued girls from India.
- Pray for our awareness initiatives among poor landless villagers who send their daughters for work in the city, not knowing they are being trafficked and for efforts to give skills training and income generation opportunities for these people to bring them out of extreme poverty.
