The Medical Service of the Anglican Diocese of Aru works with local churches to provide primary health and maternity services, health education and social support to isolated rural communities in the NE corner of DR Congo.
Please pray for this area of DRC that has been very neglected during all the insecurity of the past 10 or so years, for the local church leaders as they work hard to encourage and disciple their congregations and to reach out to evangelise in other areas.
Also pray for the Service Medical workers as they work to improve both the health care and knowledge of these populations; to capacity build in the local communities so that they are able to take more responsibility for their health care; and increasingly to support HIV positive patients and their families.
